Sharon Loewenkamp

Sharon spent most of her younger years in Evansville, she attended University of Evansville where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She later received a degree in Medical Technology. On September 3, 1966, in the University of Evansville Chapel, she married her loving husband, Stephen (Steve). Not long after, they moved to Owensboro, KY where they had their one son, Steve Jr. Sharon’s early career was spent working as a Medical Technologist and then ten years later she became a Realtor until she finally retired in 1996. Sharon, Steve and their son lived in many places around the U.S, from Indiana to Kentucky, where they built a lake home, Illinois where they had a passion for antique cars, Arizona for ten years and Washington for five years where Steve was transferred for work, and finally ten years ago, making the move to split time between Colorado to be closer to their grandchildren, and Arizona for the winters, to stay warm and play golf year round. Sharon loved to golf, do yardwork, and was always on the hunt for a good deal. She enjoyed being outdoors on the boat, fishing and collecting western art. Sharon was an encouraging mother and helpful friend. She taught many through playing golf, helping others with their Ebay and online sales or tips on selling their Real Estate. She made it easy to like her because she was always honest and direct. She stood her ground and backed her friends which earned her the nickname “Tuffy”.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Stephen; her son Stephen Jr. (Jo Lynn); three granddaughters, Anika Lucille, Sofia Jo and Giana Lynn; two brothers-in-law, Rick (Coni) of Scottsdale, AZ and Randy (Lisa) of Oklahoma City, OK and longtime friends, Tammy and Steve Foreman who introduced Sharon and Steve in 1964.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cinda Korkhouse; nephew, Kyle Korkhouse; brother-in-law, Stan and his wife Patty.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 8426 S. Hwy 287 Fort Collins, Colorado, Colorado 80525.
