Stan was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and lived in Loveland all of his life. He was welcomed into the world by William Robert & Lily Marie Hull on September 20th, 1960. He grew up alongside twelve brothers and sisters. The Hull household was loud and at times, chaotic. There was certainly never a dull moment! Growing up in such a large family prepared Stan, in a way, for his own life as a loving father and husband.
On May 29, 1981, Stan married Evelyn Kay Rodgers at the First Presbyterian Church on 4th Street in Loveland. Stan was a loyal and dedicated husband. He loved his wife more than anything in the world. To their union, Stan brought love, stability, adventure, and humor. Stan and Evelyn were blessed with two wonderful children, Jeremy and Magdalene. Stan was a loving and supportive father who wanted nothing more than to provide a better life for his children than what he had growing up. There was nothing Stan wouldn’t do for his family. He was the most dedicated provider, partner, parent, and friend.
Stan was no stranger to hard work. He drove with Stericycle for over 30 years. As a true Colorado native, Stan loved being in the mountains. He loved hunting, fishing, and 4wheeling. He truly enjoyed any time spent with family and friends. At home, he liked to watch his favorite shows, Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke, and relax with his beloved pugs by his side. He liked old-fashioned diners, drive-in movies, and dives. Stan loved cooking- making jerky for family and friends, pancakes on the weekends, and homemade sausage gravy.
Stan was always there to listen. He loved BIG with his whole heart. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed by so many.
Stan’s legacy lives on in the hearts and memories of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of more than 43 years, Evelyn Hull; children, Jeremy Marcus Hull (Kristin Johnson) and Magdalene “Maggie” Marie Hull (Kyle Brown); his grandsons, Marcus James Hull and Keegan Jeremy Hull; and his faithful pugs, Holly, Tater, and Patch, who never left his side. He is also survived by his siblings, Billy, Judy, Herbie, Sandy, Vickie, and Debbie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Lily; his siblings, Virginia Lee, Ronnie, Kathy, Jimmy, Tommy, and Stanley; and by his beloved furballs, Roxy and Patch.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 30th, 2024 at 11am at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins, followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering. Please join Stan's family for a time of fellowship, laughter, and remembrance and to enjoy some of Stan's favorite foods.
