Tanner Edwards

Tanner was born April 5th, 1988 in Rockford, Illinois and graduated from Rockford Christian in 2007. Tanner played basketball in school and was an avid fan of all sports. He had a coach’s eye for sports and was passionate about the Packers, Cardinals, Tarheels, and the Lakers. He loved animals of all kinds with a special fondness for his dachshund Smee. Tanner was known by his family and friends for his quick wit, his humor, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Tanner will be dearly missed. Tanner is survived by his father Donnie Edwards, his mother Traci (Conroy) Gendron her Husband Tom Gendron, his “brother” Patrick Conroy, his grandfather Don Edwards, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Janet Edwards and Barbara Conroy and his grandfather William Conroy.

A celebration of Tanner’s life will be held in Rockford, IL on December 3rd, 2021 at The Alchemy at Aldeen, 1902 Reid Farm Road from 4:30 – 8pm. At Tanner’s request in lieu of flowers any memorial contributions be made to The Cystinosis Research Foundation, 19200 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 920 Irvine, CA 92612
