Trinidad Sansón

Trinidad was born on May 31, 1951, in Tacámbaro, Michoacán, México, in a large family of 16 siblings. As a girl, she dreamed of becoming a teacher, but family circumstances forced her to leave school early. Yet that dream never left her heart.

When she arrived in the United States, she was determined her interrupted education would not define her future. Through great passion and determination, she learned English, earned her GED with exceptional scores, and pursued nursing at Columbia Community College in Missouri. Though she was profoundly close to completing her degree, her husband's tragic death redirected her sacrifice. She stepped away from her studies to become the anchor for her seven children. Yet her nursing heart never faltered, and through her unwavering strength and quiet dignity, she proved that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, and that sometimes the greatest legacy is not what we finish, but the lives we nurture along the way.

Trinidad was a woman of remarkable talents. She was our nurturer, our provider, our gardener, our inspiration; teaching us through her example, not just her words.

When life threw her the most difficult curveballs, she never faltered. Losing her beloved husband and being left to raise seven children alone, she found strength in her faith. Years later, when she was diagnosed with lung disease, she fought with grace and determination for sixteen years. Through unbearable pain and uncertainty, she refused to let illness steal her joy or her connection to her family. She showed us what it truly means to persevere, to love fiercely, and to hold onto hope when the world grows dark.

Her Bible and her dictionary were her treasures. She was a daughter of God who loved Jesus Christ with all her heart. Her legacy lives on in her seven children: Fabiola & Kurt Blazek, Marivel & Terence Caliguire, Mark & Dana Sanson, Yulma Sanson, Jocelyn & Jared Grindstaff, Israel & Amy Sanson, and Kevin Sanson; her 26 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. We will forever cherish the gift of her love, her strength, and the beautiful blueprint she left us for living a life of purpose, faith, and unwavering hope.

Services will be held for Trinidad on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins, Colorado. There will be a time for Visitation beginning at 11am and Trinidad's Funeral Service will take place at 12pm. A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow.

Trinidad will be laid to rest beside her grandson, Eduardo Chacon, at Highland Cemetery in Melissa, Texas.

Trinidad nació el 31 de mayo de 1951 en Tacámbaro, Michoacán, México, en una familia numerosa de 16 hermanos. De niña, soñaba con ser maestra, pero las circunstancias familiares la obligaron a dejar la escuela prematuramente. Sin embargo, ese sueño nunca la abandonó.

Al llegar a Estados Unidos, estaba decidida a que su educación interrumpida no definiera su futuro. Con gran pasión y determinación, aprendió inglés, obtuvo su diploma de equivalencia de la escuela secundaria con excelentes calificaciones y cursó estudios de enfermería en el Columbia Community College de Misuri. Aunque estaba a punto de completar su carrera, la trágica muerte de su esposo la obligó a cambiar de rumbo. Dejó sus estudios para dedicarse por completo a sus siete hijos. Sin embargo, su vocación de enfermera nunca flaqueó, y con su fortaleza inquebrantable y su serena dignidad, demostró que nunca es tarde para perseguir los sueños y que, a veces, el mayor legado no es lo que terminamos, sino las vidas que cultivamos en el camino.

Su Biblia y su diccionario eran sus tesoros. Era una hija de Dios que amaba a Jesucristo con todo su corazón. Su legado perdura en sus siete hijos: Fabiola y Kurt Blazek, Marivel y Terence Caliguire, Mark y Dana Sanson, Yulma Sanson, Jocelyn y Jared Grindstaff, Israel y Amy Sanson, y Kevin Sanson; sus 26 nietos y un bisnieto. Siempre atesoraremos el regalo de su amor, su fortaleza y el hermoso ejemplo que nos dejó para vivir una vida con propósito, fe y esperanza inquebrantable.

Los servicios fúnebres para Trinidad se llevarán a cabo el viernes 24 de abril de 2026 en la Funeraria Resthaven en Fort Collins, Colorado. El velorio comenzará a las 11:00 a. m. y el funeral se realizará a las 12:00 p. m. Posteriormente, se llevará a cabo una celebración de su vida.

Trinidad será sepultada junto a su nieto, Eduardo Chacón, en el Cementerio Highland en Melissa, Texas.
