Troy was born on September 23, 1970, in LeMars, Iowa, to Mark J. Sitzmann and Lana R. Sitzmann.
Troy graduated from Greeley West High School in 1990 and attended Aims Community College in Greeley, CO. Troy was currently employed with Walmart.
He was a kind, gentle, and positive man with a great sense of humor, Troy was a good friend to all who knew him. He loved to ski and enjoyed playing tennis and basketball, and he was an avid golfer. Troy was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Denver Nuggets. He attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Troy is survived by his children, Hailey VanAusdall and Conor VanAusdall, of New Zealand; his sister, Summer Summers; his brother-in-law, Steve Summers; his nephew and niece, Jackson Summers and Raegan Summers; and his parents, Mark J. Sitzmann and Lana R. Sitzmann.
