Vance Orrin Williams

Vance was born on April 26, 1933, to Olga and Charles Willliams of Arvilla ND. While attending school in Larimore, Vance met his future wife, Joan Yahna, to whom he was married for more than 69 years. Together, they raised eight children: Mark (Jane), Kari (Matt) Ball, Jeanne Charlson, Jeff (Lana), Donna (late husband, Coe) Foss, Joe (Kris), Tom (Lynne), and Dan (Janet). They also have numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vance was a graduate of the University of North Dakota, with a business degree, class of 1955. Vance was a highly successful banker, having advanced through the ranks at Norwest Bancorporation, retiring in 1998 as President of the Montana and Wyoming regions. Over the years, Vance and Joan moved many times until Vance retired and they settled in Ft. Collins, Colorado to be near family.

Vance is survived by his eight children, and siblings Lester (Faye) Williams and Loretta (late husband Scott) Shambaugh, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Vance was preceded in death by his wife Joan, one brother, three grandchildren and a son in law.

Private family services will be held.
