Daughter of Victor and Florence (Miller) Voge, Violet was born in Nashville, Kansas on July 25, 1936. She grew up in Pratt, Kansas and graduated from Pratt High School. She received three years of nurses training before becoming a Registered Nurse. After years of nursing Violet went to work at Hewlett Packard in Loveland and worked there until her retirement.
Violet married Dale L. Fisher on April 4th, 1959 in Topeka, Kansas. They lived for several years in Great Bend, Kansas before moving their family to Loveland in 1974. They had two children: Randy and Brenda. After the passing of her husband in 2013, Violet moved to Aurora in 2015 to be closer to her daughter and grandson.
She enjoyed reading and watching sports, particularly football and basketball. She also enjoyed time spent with family and visiting with friends.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda McFarlane of Aurora, Nebraska and her son, Randy Fisher (Kristi) of Fort Collins, Colorado; and her two grandchildren, Kelsie Fisher of Thornton, Colorado and Michael McFarlane of Aurora, Nebraska. She is also survived by her brother Darwin Voge (Gloria) of El Paso, Texas, a niece, nephews, and many other cousins and friends.
Violet's wishes were to be cremated. Her ashes will be placed to rest alongside Dale at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 1pm, followed by a Gathering of Family & Friends at Resthaven Funeral Home.
