Virginia May Preuss

Virginia Preuss of Loveland passed away from cancer on March 20, 2014 at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland. She was born October 13, 1930 in Iowa City, IA to Virgil and Opal (Root) Fuller. She grew up in Folon, IA and married Albert Preuss on December 18, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, IA. They moved to Colorado in 1952, where she became a housewife and mother. She enjoyed horses, square dancing, playing cards, and being outside. Virginia was a 4H leader for many years and traveled with her husband to AZ for many winters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister. She is survived by her children, Karol Preuss of Loveland, Karla (Warren) Bennet of Berthoud, and Kurt Preuss of Colorado; her sister, Joyce Middleton of Arizona, and a brother, Donald; grandchildren Jesse (Pam) René, Rachel Bennet, Joshua (Kindra), Nickie, Brittany, and Caleb Preuss; and great-grandchildren Osyris René and William Preuss.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Inurnment at Resthaven Memory Gardens, with reception to follow in the Resthaven Reception Center.
