Known affectionately to most as "Willie", she will be remembered as a kind and gentle woman. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a true friend, she will be dearly missed.
Born in the town of Leimuiden in the Netherlands on April 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Johanna Catharina Maria (Bakker) and Geradus Anthonius Beuk. After beginning schooling to become a teacher in Amsterdam, she returned home to care for her siblings after the passing of her father.
Willie was married to Antonius P. Westdorp before immigrating to the United States in 1957. Though they later parted ways, they welcomed four daughters together. The family moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to The Netherlands in the late 1960s. Willie and the girls eventually settled in Northern Colorado in 1977. Willie earned her B.A. and Master’s degrees in teaching at UNC and found her place in the Kindergarten classroom.
Very active in her personal life, Willie enjoyed many outdoor activities including walking, hiking, and snowshoeing. She was an avid reader. To better herself as a public speaker, she joined Toastmasters and loved being a part of Friendship Force. She was a woman of deep faith and a devout, lifelong Catholic. More than anything, Willie loved her family.
She is survived by her daughters Priscilla Mancosky (Mark), Jacqueline Van Winkle (Joey), and Michelle Westdorp; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; her sisters Mary, Tonny, and Hanny; and a brother, Gert. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Antoinette Lorenz; a brother, Nico; and her former spouse, Antonius Westdorp.
Services will be held for Wilhelmina on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland. The Rosary will be prayed at 10am and Willie's Memorial Mass will take place at 11am. Please join her family for a luncheon to follow. Willie will be placed to rest at 2pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins.
Along with flowers, contributions in her memory are suggested to Dementia Together. Memories and condolences are welcome at resthavencolorado.com.
