He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Frances, children Jeremy and Ann, grandchildren Joshua, Zachary, Matthew, Ryan, and Levi, and great granddaughter Moriah, his brother Reverend Robert Logan and sister Donna Blackburn.
Bill received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Gettysburg College, a Master of Education degree at Pennsylvania State University, and a Doctor of Education degree at the University of Northern Colorado. Always an educator, Bill occasionally served as an adjunct professor at U.N.C. and as a mentor for Special Education students at Colorado State University. He was an Eagle Scout, a District Scout Executive, a Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Valley Forge in Vietnam, an elementary classroom and special education teacher in Pennsylvania, and later for the Poudre School District in Colorado.
Thru the years Bill was a member of his church choir, the men's choir, and the Fort Collins garden railroad club with his very own backyard railroad. He was an avid amateur photographer but he also enjoyed camping, backpacking, hiking, and cross country skiing. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran church January 17th, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be at Fort Logan cemetery. Those who desire may make a donation in his memory to Pathways Hospice or the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies.
BILL will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
