Yoli was born on May 2, 1987 to Luz Bella and Egidio Montoya in Itagui, Colombia. She was an only child. Her father passed away when she was eight years old. Her step-father, Joe Bella, came into her life 16 years ago. She loved her parents very much.
On April 24, 2010, Yoli married the love of her life, Herman Gonzalez, in Rockaway, New Jersey. Yoli and Herman were both from Colombia and their families had moved to New Jersey at the same time in 1998. Yoli and Herman attended middle school and high school together. They crossed the hemisphere to find each other.
She had an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and Accounting and worked as an Admissions Trainer for Independence University. The couple moved to Fort Collins in 2018 to seek better treatment for her cancer.
Yoli was an amazing human being. She would always put others before herself. She had a unique and natural ability to bring happiness to other people.
Yoli had a beautiful smile that would light up the room and brighten even the darkest of days. She was always kind to others. Yoli had a big heart. She was truly an angel. Yoli enjoyed traveling with her family and decorating her home. She also liked cooking, arts and crafts, board games, and doing nails and makeup. She loved music, and singing and dancing.
More than anything else in the world, Yoli loved her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter, a niece, a cousin, and a loyal friend. Yoli was so deeply loved and she will be dearly missed.
Yoli is survived by her loving husband, Herman Gonzalez, mother, Luz Bella, and stepfather, Joe Bella. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Yoli’s family scattered her ashes in a private family ceremony at her favorite place in Fort Collins. No other services are planned at this time. A Yoli le sobreviven su amado esposo, Herman González, su madre, Luz Bella, y su padrastro, Joe Bella. También le sobreviven numerosas tías, tíos, primos y amigos.
