Anna T. Franceschi, 88 of Buena Park, California, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born July 7, 1933 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to the late Antonio and Nicolina (Marcone) Martino. She was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Buena Park. A loving wife and mother, she last worked at Servite High School before retiring to devote herself fully to her most cherished role: doting nonna to her beloved grandchildren. She was magnificent at mothering and grandmothering. Her family meant everything to her. She was entirely selfless, thoroughly loving and truly joyful. She was an angel on earth, a friend to everyone, humble, patient and simple, witty, graceful and above all, kind, with a deep and abiding faith. We will forever feel an emptiness but will always be grateful for having loved her and for having been loved by her.
She is survived by her husband, Bruno Franceschi, to whom she was married for 53 years; her daughters, Gina (Michael) McGuire of Fullerton, CA, Lori (Bruce) Coggins of Huntington Beach, CA; brother, Anthony Martino, Jr. of Katy, TX, sister, Barbara Ann Schultheis of North Huntingdon, PA; six grandchildren, Sophia, Francesca and Michael McGuire, Zoe, Ava and Drew Coggins; 23 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Frank Martino of New Castle, PA; five sisters, Sandra, Phyllis and Margaret Martino, Delores Mrozek also of New Castle, PA, and Edith Scrocco of Canfield, OH.
