Annette Wilson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and amazingly great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at the age of 96. She is survived by her son, Dennis and her daughter, Kathy, as well as her granddaughters, Denise, Kristine, Kerry, and Korrie. Her great-grandchildren Christopher, Nicole, Joshua, Jordyn, Aaron, Simone, Gabriel, Maddy, and Christian, and her great-great-grandchildren Harley, Hudson, and Harrison, also carry forward her legacy.
She was born in Michigan to Carlo and Mary (Buriegi) Scro. She was raised in Chicago, Illinois and was the eldest of three daughters. She and her husband, Jack, moved to California in 1966.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her son, Jacky, and her sister Marilyn Choske. She is survived by her loving sister Tina Schultz and her husband Don, and a beloved Auntie Annette to seven nieces and three nephews.
Annette was not only a devoted family matriarch but also a woman with a passion for life and tradition. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly prepared Italian meals and baked her famous Italian cookies with her grandchildren by her side. Every dish was a testament to her heritage and her deep love for family, and the memories of cooking together will remain cherished by all who had the pleasure to share that time with her.
She took great joy in watching her grandchildren grow up, always there to guide them with wisdom, humor, and a competitive spirit. Whether it was teaching them to play Tripoli or Monopoly, Annette’s love was felt through her laughter and the precious moments she spent with her family.
One of Annette’s favorite pastimes was taking spontaneous trips to the Pechanga Casino, where her lively spirit and love for a bit of gambling would always bring a sparkle to her eyes. She also took great pride in always looking her best, ensuring her hair was perfectly styled and her makeup flawless—a true reflection of her vibrant personality and zest for life.
Annette is now reunited with her loving husband, Jack Wilson, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Their love story was one of devotion and companionship, and we find comfort in knowing they are together again—along with her beloved dog, Tiger, who no doubt is joyfully by her side once more.
Rest in peace, Annette, in the arms of your beloved Jack and with Tiger by your side. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit lives on in our hearts forever.
