Carol Sue Smith

Carol Sue Smith passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 78 years old.

Born on June 20, 1948, in Newport, Kentucky, Carol lived a life defined by love, strength, compassion, and devotion to her family. In her later years, she made her home in Norco, California.

Carol was a teacher, a business owner, and a woman who valued education throughout her life. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her master’s degree from the University of Kentucky.

Carol was married to Ronald Albert Smith for 53 years until his passing in December 2023. Their enduring marriage was a cornerstone of her life, and she will be reunited with the love of her life in heaven.

Carol’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Michael Thomas Smith; her daughter, Alison Marie Norquist; her sister, Mary Kessler; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her family will always remember her for her steady presence, kindness, gentle spirit, and the care she extended to everyone around her.

Those who knew Carol will remember her quiet strength, warm heart, and the way she made others feel loved and welcome. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, and her love will continue to guide and comfort those she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
