Cornelia M. Gilbert

Cornelia was born in Hann-Munden, Germany on February 17, 1954 to Adolf and Edith Beisheim. She worked in the banking system before moving to America, where she attended Mount Sac College, became co-founder of a private security company, and eventually worked in the office of a Whittier-based towing company. She loved photographing nature, listening to wind chimes, birds singing in the early morning hours, and the rain. 

Cornelia is survived by her husband, J. Larry Gilbert, her daughter, Dawn Abuyaseen, her step-sons, Chris and Tony Dray, their family members, and many relatives, both here in America, and in Germany.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA. Staging Area #3. Those wishing to attend should plan to arrive no later than 10:15 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or City of Hope.
