Sorry for being so late. I’ll miss you very much David. I’ll think of you everytime I listen to The Weeknd, hear motorcycles, and go snowboarding. I’ll think of you when I get Mcdonald’s late at night and think about the  conversations we had. I’ll think about your laugh and smile. I’ll always think of you whenever I see Naruto and Itachi since you loved them so much. You had such a huge impact on me and I hope I did too. See you around.

His smile was always electric; I think it is ingrained in everyone's mind. He had such a fun, energetic, and adventurous soul. He went through such a difficult thing and overcame it so gracefully. He is truly one of the strongest people I have ever met. Even when he was exhausted and didn't feel well, he still wanted to go snowboarding, talked about motorcycles, and still made jokes all the time. I am so grateful to have had him in my life. Thank you for everything, David. Rest peacefully.

I remember him as a little boy always being with his tita..... He had a wonderful smile back then  and he was so handsome from the very beginning... I'm truly sorry for the loss that your family has had to endure..... Nothing prepares a family to lose a child no matter how old they are..... In reality your lives will never be the same.... But how lucky you were to have had him for those 23 years....love cha cha

Where do I even begin, I can talk about David and our adventures all day. David was my best friend from the day we met in 7th grade that’s was it we instantly clicked and there was no going back. We always found ourselves next to each other I swear I could look to my left or right and he was right there. Even when Covid hit and he moved to Norco we’d always check up on each other and catchup through text. Where our bond got even stronger was when he finally moved back to Fullerton, I remember it was the day he got his new car… we met at the Chic Fil A and we were there from 8pm till 11pm just catching up talking about everything. After that we were inseparable we did almost everything together, I would tell him he got the princess treatment because he’d be the first person I’d ask if he wanted to go watch a movie that was going to come out or always paying for our food but I’d do it again in every lifetime. Even when I got the call that he was about to start the fight of his life I told him I was going to be with him every step of the way and I’m truly grateful I was, I would never let him fall I was always there for him and he was there for me. Man don’t even get me started on our snowboarding trips, those were some of the best memories we had ones I wish I could have recorded. Waking up early grabbing breakfast and heading straight to the mountain, the car was the loudest when we were together and not from the music from our mouths just running, we’d talk about everything and i mean everything there really weren’t any secrets between us. We’d talk about how it was the best to feel so free doing things we loved together genuinely lucky to live a life most people don’t get to. Singing was definitely something we loved to do together, we were terrible but when we were together nothing else mattered it was two brothers having the time of their lives and no one was going to stop that. Can’t wait to see you bubba so wait for for me I love you bubba!

My David (our lil man),
I remember when you were just a baby crawling… you used to come from your room to grandpa’s room and hit your head on my door until I opened it and there you were with your bottle in your mouth crawled to grandpa‘s bed and I would pick you up, lay you next to me and you would go right back to sleep, knowing that you with grandpa.. you always had that smile from when you were a baby till our last days…grandpa will never forget you.. always in our hearts forever! I  love you, David!❤️ love Grandpa.

There are so many memories…… When I think of David, even though I know at 23 he was a young man, and such an incredible one, my heart always returns to seeing him as a boy, and even further, a toddler, and a baby.
When I held him for the first time (for those who don’t know, Rubina is my older sister, so David was my first nephew), something in me changed. When he came home, I acted like he was mine, and so did my younger sister Stephanie. As David grew, we’d tease and argue about who he loved or preferred more.

I was 17 at the time, ready for all of it; swaddling, diaper changes, feedings, rocking him to sleep. We lived together, so loving him like he was my own came naturally. Imagine not having just one mom, but four? Bina, my mom, me, and Steph. At the smallest cry or sniffle, we’d all rush to him… is he hungry? Is he cold? Did he pee? “Does he need Vicks?  “no he needs this” “no, he  needs that”

David knew he was loved beyond measure, and yes, he was spoiled,  but never once did he act like it. He was kind, polite, sincere, and endlessly loving. He had this goodness that made you want to give him the world. I used to think, “One day he’ll test us, get in trouble, or act out.” But that day never came. He was just this pure light, this sunshine that warmed everyone around him.

I felt that light the very first time I held him. That was the moment I learned what unconditional love truly feels like, the kind that makes you want to protect someone forever.

I do not have "A" memory. I have memories. Beautiful kid. Why my cousin asked me to be a Godfather, I have know clue. All I know is I made it a priority to be there anytime and everytime David Joe or they needed anything. The hugs, the smiles, and just joy of being around David Joe, anyone who knows him, knows was amazing. I could not call him David. Each and everytime it HAD to be David Joe. David is my best friends name. Joe is of course, mine. TWO of the best names had to be said together each and every time I said his name. I Love You kid. Heart is torn. I Love You David Joe.
