

Diane English was born to Abner and Mae English on February 17th, 1958, in Watts, California. She was a beloved parent, grandparent, sibling, and friend known for her green thumb, sassy responses, and expectation and achievement of success.
Diane is survived by her children Tashara League, Talisa Saunders, and Tanisha Maldonado; her grandchildren Aniyah League, Anthony League, Kayden Curry, Malachi Curry, Avery Joy League, and Olivia Maldonado; and her siblings Charlene Stewart, Lyrie English, Ronnie English, Dwayne English, Donnell English, Sherry Carter and Benjamin English. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner and Mae English, and her siblings, Larry English, Terry English, Abner English Jr., and Hiawatha English.
Diane “Dear” English will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work and determination; values she instilled in her daughters and those close to her. She taught us the importance of independence, self-sufficiency, and the confidence to navigate life’s challenges. Diane also exemplified compassion and empathy, even when they were the more difficult paths to take. She was always there for a conversation—whether on the way to work or during a rainy drive home when reassurance was needed.
Diane’s presence in our lives was a gift that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support will live on in the cherished memories she leaves behind. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy will remain in the values she imparted, the love she gave so freely, and the strength she showed through every challenge. Diane “Dear” English may no longer be with us, but she will forever be a part of us, guiding us with her spirit and inspiring us to live with the same determination, love, and grace she did. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so richly shared.
A visitation for Diane will be held 9 AM Monday, March 10, 2025 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM . A graveside service will occur 1 PM Monday, March 10, 2025 at Forest Lawn, 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA 90630.
