

Ernest “Ernie” Roy Zoeter, 96, passed away peacefully in his home on July 8, 2018 in La Habra, CA. Ernie was born on October 17, 1921 in Anaheim, CA to his parents, Ernest M. Zoeter and Elanora P. Zoeter. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a machinist aboard the USS Chandeleur AV-10 during the years 1942-1945. When he returned in 1949, he married Constance “Kitty” Kuhn Zoeter at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Habra. Ernie worked for Union Oil Company for 35 years. He spent many years in retirement out in TwentyNine Palm Desert training student glider pilots for the Civil Air Patrol. Ernie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Kitty Zoeter; his son James Zoeter and his wife Priska; his son Rocky Zoeter and his wife Maureen; his daughter Marcy True and her husband Robert; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A rosary will take place on Friday, July 13 at 7:00 P.M. at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. Graveside will be Saturday, July 14 at 10:30 A.M at Loma Vista Memorial Park, Fullerton.
