He was the beloved husband of Ivonne (nee Loppies) and loving father of Jusak Noija and Samuel Noija. Flip was born to his parents Eliazaar Noija and Dorcas (nee Wattimury) in Eastern Indonesa (Pulau Ambon Maluku) and was the youngest of three brothers, Henky Noija and Silas Noija. Due to his parents passing at such a young age, Flip was raised by his eldest brother Henky Noija and his sister in-law Cinthya Noya.
Flip had many jobs in his younger years and during that time he was able to travel the world and meet numerous people throughout his lifetime. He was the type of person to have “never met a stranger”. He arrived in New York City during the mid-70s in hopes to start a life for himself. During those humble beginnings as a bachelor he eventually settled in southern California and called it his “home away from home”.
He met his wife Ivonne on a trip back home to Indonesia and it was definitely “love at first sight”. They married in Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia and had their first son Jusak Noija in Ujungpandang, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Their youngest son, Samuel Noija was born in Inglewood, California, United States. After having his son he worked for the City of Los Angeles at LAX Airport until retirement. He was given the nickname by family and friends as “Om Berthy Airport/ Om Berthy LAX”.
Flips father Eliazaar was a pastor in Hulaliu, (Pulalu Haruku) Maluku, Indoenesia and with his father being his role model taught him to be man of faith. He was a part of many church organizations. Starting with Indonesian Presbyterian Church (IPC Fullerton), Christian Community Indonesian Church (CCIC), and Gereja Oikumene Maluku Amerika (GOMA).
His love for God, his love for family, and love for friendship has always been something that people will remember him by. Flip has always been selfless and put others first before himself. Even if he did not have much to give, he would always do his best to at least put a smile on someone’s face. Those memories and experiences he made with people will truly last a lifetime if not forever.

Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, California on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 5pm and Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at 10am following his burial on Saturday 7th, 2024 at Loma Vista Memorial Park at 701 E Bastanchury Rd, Fullerton, California at 1pm.
