

Geneva Louise (Regier) Reeves, age 92, daughter of Flossie Phyllis and William Ray Arney, was born September 6, 1918 in Springfield Missouri and died peacefully at her daughter's home on May 5, 2011 in Placentia, California. She is survived by her brother Norman Arney, her 2 sons, Carry Regier (Arlene) and Stephen Regier (Brenda), and her daughter Martha Ann Fuller (Frank). She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kent Fuller (Jane), Jolie Giese (Gary), Keri Ray (Bobby), Joshua Regier and Garry Regier Jr. and five great grandchildren, Faith Fuller, Amelia and Timothy Giese, Hannah and Amanda Ray. She lived in Joplin, Missouri, graduated from Joplin High School and went to work for the phone company as a telephone operator. There she met the love of her life and married Carl Regier, who passed away 1971. Geneva was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in the PTA in Long Beach where she raised her children. She moved to Cypress for a few years and then to Huntington Beach. There she became active in Dames (a Long Beach Charitable Group) and made many lasting friends. Geneva was always on the go, she loved people and making new friends. She kept her mind sharp with her daily crossword puzzles and was worthy competitor while watching Jeopardy. Throughout her life, Geneva most loved spending time with her family. She loved her beautiful home, puttering in the garden, and visiting with her neighbors. In her younger years, Geneva traveled all over the world with family and friends and was able to see a great many beautiful places. Having spent time at her grandparents' farm in Missouri, Geneva never met an animal she did not like. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. There will be a celebration of her life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Joseph Hospital Foundation/Hospice at 1845 W. Orangewood, Suite A, and Orange, California 92868.
