Born in Ashton, Nebraska to Clarence and Louise Borowski, George moved with his family to Grand Island, NE, in 1945. There he grew up surrounded by a large extended family. An only child for much of his youth, he was delighted to welcome his brother, Michael, when he was 15 years old, followed by his sister, Dianna, a year later.
George graduated from Central Catholic High School, where he excelled in basketball, football, and track. In 1972, he moved his family to Fullerton, CA, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and perseverance. Through determination, self-discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning, he rose to become National Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Monarch Mirror Door Company. Even in retirement, George continued to put his sales and marketing talents to work, supporting Judy Ann Sober Borowski’s successful real estate career and could often be seen putting out dozens of signs around town.
More important than any professional accomplishment was the life George built with his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy. Together they created a lifetime of unmatched family traditions, epic holiday celebrations, homemade Sunday dinners, and cherished memories. George was known for his thoughtful advice, strong work ethic, steady presence, peanut M&M’s, toothpicks, and unwavering devotion to his family.
George is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Sober Borowski; his children, Denise Mitchell (Glenn), Blake Borowski (Chantal), and Debin Norris; his grandchildren, Julia and Kayla Mitchell, Zoe, Cashlin, and Beckett Borowski, and Jessica Norris; his great-grandsons, Jaxston and Jameson Henry; his brother, Michael Borowski; and his sister, Dianna Deis (Duane).
His legacy of faith, perseverance, family, and determination will live on in all who knew and loved him.
