Harold was a beloved husband of 68 years to his wife Marian Brown, father to Dennis Brown and Lee Brown, and dog father to his beloved Pansy, Minnie, Anna, Ziggy, and Grace.
Harold was a successful entrepreneur who played a pivotal role in launching La Paz Party Mixes with his longtime friend, Larry Casey. Starting in 1968 as L&H Products, Inc., Larry Casey and Harold Brown, friends, and founders, began selling Quickway Professional Bar Mixes exclusively to the food service industry. In 1972, the corporate name was changed to La Paz Products, Inc. Along with Larry, he developed a line of party mixes that quickly became a favorite of partygoers everywhere. Over the years, Harold played a vital role in the growth and success of the company, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. His dedication to quality and innovation helped La Paz Party Mixes become a household name.
In his younger days, Harold Brown was a passionate racer who found joy in competing in off-road races as a member of the La Paz Racing Team. He was particularly fond of racing Baja bugs and had participated in some of the most intense races such as the Mint 400 and the Baja 100. Brown was a skilled driver who loved the thrill of the competition and the challenging terrain that came with it.
Later in life, Harold enjoyed retirement by golfing, gardening, and founding another business just for fun, Bug Beaters. He had a passion for creating and innovating, and his enterprising spirit continued to drive him throughout his life.
In addition to his work, Harold was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his four-legged companions, and was always there for them when they needed him. He was also known for his generosity and kindness and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
