Heather was born to Donald and Rachel Sinex, February 15, 1971. Heather was raised for a brief time in Eagle Rock, before moving to Huntington Beach. She worked with Rae in her preschool classrooms for many years. Heather attended St. Bonaventure Parish school through eighth grade and then went on to attend Marina High School. After attending Goldenwest College for a short time, she went on to CSU Long Beach and graduated with a degree in Education. Heather began her teaching career at San Marino Elementary when she was 28 years old where she taught Kindergarten thru 2nd grade. Teaching was her life and passion and many of her students have come back to tell her the impact that she had on their lives. Heather was a volunteer for over 25 years and became a director of Camp Recreations and was on the Board of Directors for Camp Footprints, camps for developmentally disabled kids and adults. Heather met Peter, her future husband, on October 26, 1997, on a blind date. They got Engaged on February 14, 1998, and married on January 16, 1999. They raised two children in Placentia. Heather was a Girl Scout volunteer. Heather loved to travel and would seek out new places for adventures. Peter and Heather loved having breakfast on Saturday mornings and just being with each other. Heather was diagnosed with cancer in June 2024. She passed on February 13, 2025. Heather will be missed by family and friends. Heather is survived by her husband Peter, children Robin and Kate. Also survived by her sister Vicki and brother Vince and his wife Valerie.
