James Brandon Ciolek-Torrello (Jamie Torrello) passed away on December 24, 2016. He was 27 years old. Jamie was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 16, 1989. He spent the first five years of his life in Tucson, Arizona, under the loving care of his parents Richard and Susan and his nanny, Wanda Mullen. When he was a year old he went on his first trip with his parents, a trip to Hawaii which he loved immensely but was absolutely horrible on the flights over and back. This was the first of many trips he made with his parents. In the ensuing years, he traveled with his parents to England, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Australia (twice), Scotland, New Zealand, Belize and Malta, and made several trips to Baja California and the Yucatan in Mexico. When he was five he moved to Anaheim Hills, California due to his parents’ job transfer and to be closer to family. Jamie first attended the Montessori Academy in Anaheim Hills and later transferred to Imperial Elementary. He attended El Rancho Middle School and Canyon High School. Baseball was his childhood passion; he participated in Little league for many years and attended countless Angel and Dodger games. He was also a great fan of the University of Arizona basketball team. He served as an umpire, the season after he completed his Little League eligibility. Jamie also participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts where he achieved the Star rank and enjoyed campouts, hiking, and rock climbing with Yorba Linda Troop 778. He graduated from Santiago Oaks and later attended Long Beach City College and Fullerton College where he majored in music. Jamie had a great talent for mathematics and music. He combined these two capabilities in the field of electronic music. He was attempting to work into music production but was happiest at music composition. He composed many original pieces of music along with complex mixes from existing contemporary works. Several of these pieces can be found at SoundCloud.com. Jamie will be missed greatly by his family and friends, especially his parents and pet menagerie, his dog Pujol and cats Isabella, Abby and Fuzzy. May he rest in peace.
