James Clarence Robinson, born December 12, 1949 went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Linde, and daughter, Becky, Sister-in-law, Mary Ann and nieces and nephews, Julie Turner, Timothy Iandiorio, Tiffany Purvis, Tyler Purvis, and Thomas Iandiorio.
Jim was born to Martha Robinson who was a supportive single mother and among the first women to serve in the Marine Corp. Jim played football in high school and graduated in 1967. He then went on to college at Utah State and studied mechanical engineering. Completing college, Jim entered the Marine Corp and became a helicopter pilot. During his time as a Marine, he met Linde, the love of his life. They were married on February 22, in 1975 at the base chapel in Tustin, California. Jim was honorably discharged in December of 1976. Jim spent much of his career working for Northrup Grumman as a facilities and project manager retiring in 2014.
In 1980, the sweet couple welcomed their only daughter, Rebecca, in Concord, CA. In 1994 he and his daughter brought home two horses and their lives were enriched as they spent decades ridding the trails together. The family loved to spend time together, they traveled to Disney World, Yosemite, Hawaii, Alaska, to name a few destinations. Jim cherished his family and friends and the times we had together.
In retirement, the adventures of the Robinson family continued. Jim and Linde loved taking road trips and vacations. Just this year we traveled to Washington D.C. and the Marine Corp Museum. Jim enjoyed Nascar, baseball, bowling, barbecuing and spending time with family and wonderful friends.
Jim’s faith was a quiet walk, his faith was spoken in his actions in loving support of others. He was one to fix things that were broken without anyone asking, he would listen and support without judgment, he would barbeque in the rain if you wanted steak, and he was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by those who loved and knew him.
Jim passed away while waiting for a heart transplant. Please consider organ donation by visiting donatelife.net.
