Gail and family. I’m so sorry for your loss of our beloved John. We had so much fun with him back in the day. He always came and sat in our booth and chatted with us. He was a longtime friend and customer to my father. And then I ended up ordering all those Chevrolet Geo metro‘s that we had to put crazy ovens in so he could deliver pizzas. He was such a sweet man and a good father and husband. He was a huge icon in the Whittier and La Habra community. Every time friends come down to visit me from there I ask themto bring pasta salad please from Lascari‘s.🖤 he will be missed for sure. Prayers go out to you Gale, as well as the entire Lascari clan. I will be there on Wednesday to see him off as well.🖤

John was a true gentleman and a class act. He and Gail raised an amazing family and left quite a tremendous legacy of eateries throughout Southern California. John was such a generous soul, and was always willing to help everyone and to make sure all of the bocce clubs in So. Cal. had a great meal for a great deal. No one ever left hungry when the Lascari family was involved. He graciously invited us all to his home for their annual grape 🍇 stomping party. John was such a humble man, that he never told us it was also his 75th birthday. John was the first one to offer his family's assistance with providing the reception feast when my Pops Amadio passed away 5 years ago. He will always be remembered in such a positive light, but mostly for being such a kind, gentle, nurturing man. John, you were truly one of a kind, and are sorely missed by many. God Bless You and your awesome Family. Rest in Eternal Peace, my Friend. Love you!

Greg and I, first met your dad at the Old location.  I remember how excited he was about the new location and walked us around to show us his dream.  During our time with your dad, he helped so much with various community events.  I remember one time, I told me how I had to cook like 50 lbs of pasta for a Boy Scout  Spaghetti dinner fundraiser.  He was like, Patty, I could have done that really quickly.  He also gave us the best meatballs ever.  The Lascari Family was led by a wonderful man and has helped out the community so much.  Please accept our condolences.

I have way to many stories to share. But a few of my favorites  are. One he taught me how to drive stick.  I was paranoid and he said let’s go get in the car we’re going. Not only did we get in the car but we got into one of the brand new trucks that didn’t even have the logos on it that he bought that morning.. all I thought was I’m gonna ruin this truck and he just bought it. He drove us over to Cal  High parking lot and he taught me how to drive stick in the parking lot for an hour.. I cried the whole time, but I did it. The next night he made me go take a delivery in the brand new truck all by myself. Let’s just say it took me a very long time to get there in a very long time to get back..  but I did it and kept calling me the entire time to make sure I was OK. 

Second one was he was a prankster when we worked in the back with deliveries. He and Mark used to get me all the time.. every single time I get up to go get something I’d come back and my drink was gone and for years I thought it was the delivery drivers would come in and take my drink and then leave. So I thought I would pull a little prank one day I decided to throw my gum in my drink and then they would find a gum when they finished it.  Come to find  out it was pop stealing  my drink every day.. he  yelled at me and said I can’t believe you put your gum  at the bottom of your cup that’s absolutely disgusting  and I said well don’t drink my drink I’ll get you your own . He never did it again after that.. 

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. She was an amazing man. He truly was smart, funny and willing to teach you anything.. I was truly blessed to not only love him, but work for him for many years.

To the Lascari Family..was so sorry to hear of the passing of John Sr...a memory I will always remember is working at your original Lascaris in a very tight space  and was so nervous..but John always said something  that just made me feel more relaxed..I loved working there..and Gail you were the best and was so Calm when it was so CRAZY lol..please accept my condolences to you and your amazing family..God Bless

We have very fond memories of John he was always very kind to us. We hope you are rewarded with the joy and peace you provided to so many others.

This picture from Hawthorne, ca.  was one of many tournaments we won together.. we always played on the same side and would talk about everything not just bocce. And I remember the times he would invite us to his house in meriatta, CA. To play and have lunch with him and his wonderful wife Gail and Treated us just like family. Thank you for the memories John
