While there, she became acquainted with her English cousins and developed lifelong friendships with them. She graduated from St. Agnes High School in Queens, NY, where she was President of the Literary Society. Pat went on to work for the New York City Library, also volunteering at the United Service Organization, Inc. (USO). Pat married George Meadows of Boston, MA in 1942 and had five daughters and four sons: Kathleen (Trader), Pamela (Maple), Barbara (Erickson), Phyllis (Manska) and Lucy (Regimbal), Stephen (who died in infancy), David, Jim, and George. Pat was an active member of St. Angela Merici Church and was instrumental in starting the Christian Service Agency, serving as its president and being nominated as a Woman of the Year in 1976 by the Brea Chamber of Commerce. She was also active on the board of Little League while her sons were team members. Pat met and married Jesse Wilcox in 1978. Together, they worked tirelessly helping the less fortunate in Brea, eventually moving to Tustin and enjoying a most happy retired life together traveling, gardening and entertaining family and friends.
