Laurette Marie Ridenour, 70, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in the comfort of her Newport Beach home, surrounded by her husband, son, and faithful dog.
Born on September 4, 1955, in East Los Angeles, Laurie lived with curiosity, determination, and joy. She believed in the power of a positive outlook, the right shade of lipstick, and finding adventure wherever life led.
Laurie traveled the country to organize motocross events, flew planes, and help bridge the worlds of healthcare and technology throughout her career. She loved cooking for family and friends, admired horsepower in all its forms, and never missed an opportunity to explore somewhere new.
Her enthusiasm for life was unmatched. Her adventures took her to all 50 states, countless national parks, and destinations around the world. Whether planning the next trip, cheering on her beloved Rams, tending to her butterflies, or gathering loved ones around a table, she brought energy and warmth to every moment.
Laurie is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn; her sons, Joseph (Kaylee) and Taylor (Laura); her cherished grandchildren, Gavin and Huxley; her brothers, Richard Rombal and Mark Rombal; seven beloved nieces; a large Italian family; and countless dear friends.
She was preceded in death by Marianne and Bob Sullivan, and her father, Robert Rombal.
Laurie lived by a simple but powerful philosophy: life is meant to be lived fully, without regret or guilt. She will be remembered for her fierce love, quick wit, and ability to make those around her feel welcomed and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family, friendships, and memories she leaves behind.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Laurie’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hoag Family Cancer Institute.
