

Lee Kauhane Metz, 46, of Placentia, California passed away July 10, 2026. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 24, 1980. Lee graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He received a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2009. Lee and Erin met while they both attended LMU. They were married on July 17, 2008 at the Lanikūkonua Cultural Institute in Ko’Olina, Hawaii.
Lee worked at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Corona, California for 24 years as an engineer and analyst. He led an active life with his family, participating in mud runs, kickball and volleyball teams. He was passionate about DIY activities, doing a lot of home improvement and teaching his daughters how to do the same.
Lee is survived by his wife of 18 years, Erin, his daughters, Zoë and Kyra, his brother, Bryson, and his parents, Otto and Rowena. Lee’s Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on August 7, 2006 at McAulay and Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. Please join us in celebrating his heritage with aloha attire.
