Margaret Mary Dessureault

April 11, 1926 – December 7, 2025
Obituary of Margaret Mary Dessureault
IN THE CARE OF

McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

Margaret Mary Dessureault, 99 of Anaheim, CA, passed away December 7, 2025 in Yorba Linda, CA. She was born in Hazleton, PA on April 11, 1926 to parents William Basil Rudolph and Ann Helen Rudolph (née Havrilla). She was the second oldest of four daughters. She attended and graduated from Hazleton High School where she loved being a Majorette. Her father moved the family to California in the early years of WWII to help with the war effort.

She married Robert Laperle Dessureault of Los Angeles, CA on June 23, 1956 in Long Beach, CA. In 1971 her husband’s job moved them from Long Beach, CA to Fair Oaks, CA where she resided until moving to Anaheim, CA in 2021 to be closer to family.

Margaret was an active member of St. Philip the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church in Sacramento, CA and Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Anaheim, CA.

Outside of church Margaret loved to cook, “she was very proud of her spice cabinet”. She would spend hours reading through magazines and cookbooks marking the pages of recipes she wanted to try or to pass on to family or friends for them to try. She also loved to shop and hunt for bargains and could spend hours browsing each item on each shelf in each isle of the store.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Robert L. Dessureault, her dear sister Ann Trumbore and brother in law James Trumbore (Long Beach, CA), brother in laws Gordon Ruth (Burnsville, MN) and Kingsley Nash (Richardson, TX) and one nephew. She is survived by her oldest sister Irene A. Ruth of Burnsville, MN and her youngest sister Dorothy T. Nash of McKinney, TX, 5 nieces, 4 nephews and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Margaret was smart, strong, dependable, loving and protective. She loved her family dearly and always cared enough to write or call to keep in touch with her sisters and their families. She will be greatly missed by us all. Margaret will be interred with her husband at Riverside National Cemetery, in Riverside, California
