
MARGUERITE MOWREY, 86, of Fullerton passed away at 5:01 p.m. Nov. 1, 2013. She was born to Frances and Glenn Powell, Nov. 28, 1926, in Gomer, Ohio. She married Joseph Mowrey in 1952, who died Sept. 16, 1984, and they lived together in Lima, Ohio for fourteen years before relocating to Fullerton, California. Marguerite enjoyed decades at the bridge table, and volunteer work at the Bargain Box Thrift Shop in Fullerton. She was a regular at the Fullerton Light Opera and traveled extensively to visit all 7 continents and all 50 states. Survivors include two sons, James (Karin) Mowrey of Brea and Mark (Chantal) Mowrey of Huntington Beach; two grandchildren Laura Mowrey and Sam Mowrey; a sister Dorothy Guy of Fullerton; two nieces Diane (Tim) Motter of Lima, OH, and Susan (Mark) Spencer of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Glen Powell, Jan. 4, 2008. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm Thursday, November 7th at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton. Friends may call from 11 am-1 pm the day of the funeral. Burial will be at the Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Society.
