Maria de Jesus Chavez de Gutierrez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born in Teocaltiche, Jalisco on July 6, 1934. She passed away on October 1, 2026, in Fullerton, California.

There are endless stories and cherished memories that capture our beloved Chuy's radiant zest for life, her playful spirit, and her deep devotion to family. She showered her loved ones with boundless warmth and kindness—and, when needed, the occasional loving scolding.

Maria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfredo Munoz Gutierrez. Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted children: Patricia, Silvia (Jose) Moran, and Alfredo "Freddie" Jr. Her circle of love continues through her grandchildren, Jessica (Kurt) Mielec and Laura (Christopher) Cadotte, and her great-granddaughter, Verity Cadotte. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends throughout the United States and Mexico, as well as by all who were touched by her gentle heart.
