Remember Me
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest for a while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, Not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all And look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life In the hearts of all of you.
Born in Durango, Mexico, Maria immigrated to the United States and proudly became an American citizen in 1996, establishing a profound and loving home for her family.
Maria was a deeply cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was the unwavering matriarch whose legacy is powerfully visible through the lives of her five children, 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Her family was the light of her life, and she dedicated every day to instilling love, strength, and wisdom across the generations.
Her faith was the foundation of her life; she spent countless hours reading the Holy Bible, and her gentle spirit manifested in her love for word searches, sewing, and delicate embroidery. These pastimes showcased her patience and creativity.
Maria will always be remembered as a strong, beautiful, and hardworking woman. She was known for her sassy wit, infectious laughter, and an endlessly devoted heart.
While her physical presence is deeply missed, the memory of her determination and nurturing spirit will live on. The family takes comfort in knowing that Maria’s legacy of resilience and faith endures, and she is finally at peace.
23rd Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His Name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
