Mary Jane Claussen Ray, 68, died in Fullerton, Ca. Monday, March 28, from dementia. Born, Dec. 13, 1942 in Akron, OH. daughter of Richard and Ruth Claussen. Mary was a 1960 graduate of Clayton Valley HS, Concord, CA and a 1965 graduate of Oregon State U., Corvallis, Or. where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She received a Master of Science at U. of Oregon, Eugene in 1967. Mary taught elementary school for 34 yrs. in Orange County, 30 years at Gilbert Elementary, Buena Park, retiring in 2000. Mary was a member of Mojave Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by husband of 42 years, Glenn Ray; mother Ruth Claussen; sister Virginia Rood (William) and brother Charles Claussen (Michelle). Graveside service will be held 11:15 AM Monday April 11, 2011 at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside.
