

Michael “Mike” Bush, 70, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his Anaheim Hills home on April 7, 2018 after a battle with cancer. He was born August 7, 1947 in Santa Barbara, CA to Charles and Isabelle Bush. The eldest of 4 boys, he excelled in academics and athletics and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. After a stint in the Army Reserves he began his long tenured career as an Insurance Broker with CalSurance and Brown & Brown, Inc. In 1982 he married his loving wife Andrea and together they raised 3 beautiful daughters. Mike could often be found fishing, watching dance recitals, throwing batting practice, coaching many softball teams, and rooting for his Dodgers. A true family man, he loved his family well and was a friend to many. In 2013 and 2016 he was blessed to become a proud Papa to two grand-babies. He is remembered fondly for being silly, taking them to the park, on pony rides, and secret trips to buy cake pops and donuts. To know Mike was to love Mike and his kindness and sense of humor will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Mike is survived by and will be missed fiercely by his wife Andrea; daughters Laura Kidd and son-in-law Brian; Megan Mersch and son-in-law Alex; Shannon Bush and soon to be son-in-law Tyler Kisslan; grandchildren Hannah Claire and Andrew Michael; father Charles Bush; brother Steve; mother-in-law Jan; sisters-in law Cindy, Julie, Colleen, and Becky; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of the life of Mike Bush will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church – 190 S Fairmont Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92808. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name can be made to The American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warrior Project, or Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church.
