

Paul E. Hunter, 88 of Fullerton, CA passed away peacefully on February 23, 2013 after a long struggle with Alzheimers disease. He is survived by his son Michael Hunter (Linda), daughters Linda Benjamin (Ben), Paula Hunter, and Sandra Hunter-Ferris (Eugene). He is also survived by grandchildren Allison Coldiron, Aaron Hurlbet, Michael Benjamin, Heidi Worrell, Shawn Hunter and Jillian Hunter, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife June and daughter Teresa. He was born in Nineveh, NY on October 28, 1924 and grew up in rural Maryland before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He served bravely in WWII and settled in southern California after returning home from the war. Paul worked for Pacific Bell/AT&T for 34 years and went back to his beginnings in that industry after his retirement by doing installations and repairs for many clients in the area, a job he loved and worked at well into his 70s. He was married to wife June for 56 years before her passing in July 2000, and was a long-time resident of Fullerton. A memorial service will be held at McAulay and Wallace Mortuary in Fullerton on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 10:00 am. Donations in his name can be sent to Alzheimers Association of Orange County, 17771 Cowan #200, Irvine, CA 92614. He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11:30 am.
