

Leverett, Richard passed away peacefully on Aug 7, 2011, holding the hands of his family. He went home to be with God after a valiant fight with the rare blood disease Amyloidosis. Born March 7, 1944, he is survived by his beloved and loving wife Margaret, three children, Mitchell, Michele, and Beth, and six grandchildren. Richard devoted his life to Valencia High School students where he taught Art for 37 years and also coached girls soccer. He will always be remembered for the many lives he touched through teaching, caricatures he drew up until hours before his passing, tireless humor and inspiring conversation. All friends are invited to attend a Rosary at McAulay Wallace Mortuary in Fullerton at 7 pm and a viewing from 5 " 8 pm on 8/12. The funeral mass will be held Saturday 8/13 at St. Martin Catholic Church Yorba Linda with Burial to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to a memorial scholarship for a talented Art student set up in his memory at Valencia High School.
