Richard Harold Mullard entered that House not made by hands, eternal in the Heavens on April 2, 2024. Richard, also known as Dick to his old friends and colleagues, was born in Bell, California on September 26, 1934 the eldest son of Violet Mava (Walp) Mullard and Harold James Mullard.
Richard was raised in South Gate, California, graduating from South Gate High School, East Los Angeles Jr. College and the University of Southern California. Richard is a member of the Half Century Club at the University and was pleased to serve on the 50 year Reunion Committee in 2006. While at USC, Richard was a member of the Wesley Club, the Senior Class Council and served as the Parliamentarian of the Student Senate in the Spring of 1957.
Dick worked in the California Dairy Industry for forty-one years for several entities, both Co-operative and Proprietary. On many occasions he delivered expert testimony before the Department of Food and Agriculture in Sacramento, CA.
Richard was a Freemason. He served as Worshipful Master and was a Life Member of Gateway Lodge in Brea, and has been the Secretary of the Lodge since 2002. He was a member of Long Beach Scottish Rite, Anaheim Bodies of the York Rite and Al Malaika Shrine Temple in Los Angeles. He was also a member, for over fifty years Ami Tai Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, where he served as Worthy Patron on nine different occasions. His greatest level of endeavor was working with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, for which he was honored by the Supreme Assembly of McAlester, Oklahoma and the Grand Lodge of California F&AM.
Richard is survived by his wife, Janice Edith, daughter, Rebecca Jane (Stallings), son-in-law, Anthony, grandson, Carson Keith; brothers, Phillip Glenn and Michael James, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services, including Masonic, will be at Fullerton First United Methodist Church where he was a member since 1960. For many years he would be seen and heard singing from the back row of the Aldersgate Chorale choir at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the California Rainbow Foundation marked for Scholarship Fund.
