Sandra E Post

Sandra Ann Post, 89, of Fullerton, California and formerly of Western Springs, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023. She was born on January 25, 1934 in LaPorte, Indiana to Norman William Ewert and Lucille Eloise Essling. She graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago, Illinois in 1951 and was married thirty-six years to James Birch Post until his death in 1987. Sandra was a loving mother of four children: James Post of Florida, Jody Remiker of Wisconsin (deceased), Martha Post of Arizona, and David Post of Georgia. She was also a proud grandmother of eight and a great-grandmother of eleven. Sandra was predeceased by her younger sister Diane and was the loving aunt of Diane’s daughter Gail Kantor of Maryland. Sandra cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Sandra had a passion for music and played the piano and organ for many years. She was an avid bridge player and hosted many bridge games at her home. She also loved playing bingo and golfing with her friends, and especially enjoyed spending summers with her family at Paddock Lake, Wisconsin. After her husband's death, Sandra found comfort and companionship in Clark Biggers of Anaheim, California, whom she considered the love of her life. They shared many happy moments together and were entirely devoted to each other. Sandra was truly grateful for his presence and support in the latter years of her life. Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and humor. She touched many lives with her warmth and grace. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private Celebration of Life will be held in May with interment to follow at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sandra's memory.
