

Stewart F. Semple passed away on 4/12/18 with family by his side. A Rosary will be held at St. Juliana’s Falconieri Catholic Church on Thursday April 26th at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Juliana’s Falconieri Catholic Church on Friday April 27th at 9:30 AM. Reception to follow at the church. Stewart Semple was born in Alameda California Dec. 20, 1924. Stewart attended St. Ignatius Catholic High School. After high school, Stewart entered the Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged and went on to college, graduating from USF with a Master’s degree in Economics. Stewart married Rita Clark in 1950. He worked for 35 years in the banking industry. He had 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Stew had many different interests. He was a gifted artist and sculptor; focusing on Native American Subjects. He worked in clay, bronze and stone. He was also blessed with a great sense of humor. Stewart loved the desert, the ocean and enjoyed wildlife. He was an avid collector of animal facts. He built ponds at his home and kept Koi. He loved languages and in his youth went to Berlitz to learn Spanish, French and Russian. Donations in his memory can made to SeaCrest Hospice, St. Joseph’s Indian School, World Wildlife Federation or a charity of your choice.
