Vicki Joann Boden

Vicki was born on June 20, 1931, in Mitchell, South Dakota, the only child of Donald and Marjorie Adams. She married Gordon Boden in 1950 and after giving birth to her 5 sons in the mid-west, the family moved to California and planted roots on Century Drive in Anaheim to begin a new chapter of their lives. She gave birth to Carrie in 1966 and the whole of Century Drive celebrated that Vicki finally got a daughter. Later in1972, the family moved to their forever home on Cedarhaven Way.

Family was the center of Vicki’s life. She was a devoted mother of 6, grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother (“Grandma G-G”) of 13, whose life was intertwined with the her family she loved and dear friends she adored. Her home remains filled with the memories of her children growing up, family gatherings, celebrations and everyday moments that were each special in their own way.

Vicki was a pillar of strength and inspiration as she faced the challenges associated with her children’s serious illnesses (diabetes and cancer) and one son’s life-changing spinal cord injury. She was also well-acquainted with sorrow and grief as she was preceded in death by Gordon, Dana, Tom and Carrie. However, while she endured many significant challenges and tragedies, she never lost her amazing spirit. She always maintained a positive outlook on life, she loved to travel with her friends, to read, to laugh and to dance and enjoy her glass of wine.

She is survived by sons, Mike, John (Kathy), JP, grandchildren, Jenny, Craig, Matt, Shannon, Shay, Tara, Jeff, Shoosh, Kevin, Spencer, Amy and Andrew, and great-grandchildren, Chase, Ashlyn, Gavin, Georgia, Jordan, Van, Adalynn, Veronica, CeCe, Caden, Braedy, Kennedy and Bo.

Rest peacefully in Heaven, Mom. You are finally home with Dad, Dana, Tom and Carrie. May you be surrounded once again by the family you loved so deeply. You will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
