

Baxendell, William E., of Yorba Linda was born November 1, 1936 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to James and Julia (Young) Baxendell. He graduated from Claireton High School in 1954. Bill served as an Army paratrooper from 1954 to 1956, and loved jumping. Just before his 66th birthday he made a parachute jump at Lake Perris, California, after which his grandkids called him Superman. Bill moved to California in 1962 and was employed by Riverside Steel for 22 years and Temcor for 17 years. He retired in 2000. During this time he also owned California Shirt Shop. He is survived by his wife Martha, daughter LeeAnn and Mike Leonard, granddaughter Dawn Charles, son Bill and Cappi Baxendell, granddaughters Bianca and Chanelle, stepson Bobby and Criss Sykes, grandsons Chad and Kevin, stepdaughter Karin and Jim Mowrey, and grandchildren Laura and Sam. Survived by sisters Barbara and Andrea, and preceded in death by sister, Donna. He is also survived by former wife and mother of his two children, Joan Baxendell. And finally, survived by Maggie the Magnificent. Beginning with their first grandchild in 1988, Bill enjoyed playing Santa Claus, and arrived on Christmas Eve for over 22 years. A family man first, Bill was also passionate about ocean fishing, and fishing on the Madison River in Montana. When you look at the skyline, remember "Bax".
