William Howard Peter Wisher Jr., acclaimed screenwriter, producer, and creative visionary whose work helped redefine modern science fiction and action films, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 71.

Best known for his longtime creative collaboration with director James Cameron, William co-wrote The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), two groundbreaking films that forever changed the science fiction genre. Terminator 2: Judgment Day remains widely regarded as one of the greatest action films ever made, celebrated for its unforgettable storytelling, groundbreaking visual effects, and enduring themes of humanity, technology, and hope.

Throughout his distinguished career, William's creative talents extended far beyond the Terminator franchise. His screenwriting credits include Judge Dredd, The 13th Warrior, and I.T. He was also a writer and producer on Live Free or Die Hard, further demonstrating his versatility and lasting influence on Hollywood.
