

Wolf Imbler of Yorba Linda passed away at age 73 on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014. Wolf was born in Hamburg, Germany on November 15, 1940. At the age of seven, Wolf moved to California with his mother Ursula and adopted father Richard Imbler. Wolf graduated from California State Long Beach with a degree in Political Science, married and had two sons. For 15 years, Wolf worked as a welder however, wanting to do more for his community, Wolf went back to get his teaching certificate and started working as a bi-lingual 4th grade school teacher at Richman School in Fullerton. His passion for community service was not limited to his teaching, after retiring in 2000 he continued to work as a hospice volunteer for many years before he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. After an extensive surgery in 2005, the brain tumor was successfully removed; however, he continued to have a series of medical problems. The surgery impacted his vision and limited his ability to participate in many activities. Wolf received audio books, his favorite pastime, from the Braille Institute. Wolf is survived by his wife of twenty years, Marge; son Bryce and husband Sergio; son Ross and wife Charu; granddaughter Sitara and sister Birgitta Biermann. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 1 from 6-8 p.m., at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary at 18311 Lemon Dr. Yorba Linda. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 10 a.m., at San Antonio Church, 5800 E. Santa Ana Canyon Rd. in Anaheim.
