I played baseball one summer for Ken and the Olathe Rebels.  I believe it was either 1966 or 67.  The year we came within one inning of heading to the World Series.  Ended up losing to Chicago, 5-4.  Still have all of the newspaper articles that he wrote about the region playoffs. Among my favorite memories of my youth.  God bless you Ken and family.  

So many memories...baseball, the trips, and The Olathe Daily News...You gave me a job as a sports stringer and when the photographer quite, you handed me the camera and told me to go take pictures and that turned into a 40-plus year career in journalism thanks to you. RIP my friend.

Rest in peace, Ken. I want to thank you for getting me started in my career. You gave me a chance when I was young, and I've turned that into a life-long profession.

Ken...you coached me a year in baseball, mentored me at the daily news, allowed me to work for you at horizon travel and chose me to be your 2nd in command with the chiefs...as I am in my 37th year. Thank you for all you did for me. You have already been missed by your chiefs family since your retirement. Now you will be missed even more by all.
