Adela Frizell Roa

Adela passed away on January 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was 90 years young, and lived a long and fruitful life. She was a devout Catholic with a special devotion to Mary, the Mother of God. Adela was born in Granada, Nicaragua, the daughter of Richard E. and Adela Deshon Frizell. Adela was married for 61 years to Arturo Roa. She is survived by her sister Carmen, her husband Arturo, and their nine children—Charles, R. Arturo, F. Rafael, Richard, Myriam, Gregory, Michael, John, and Christopher—as well as thirty grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882 on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at 1:45 PM at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Road, Germantown, MD 20876.

Flowers may be delivered before 9:00 AM, on Monday, January 15, 2018, to Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882; or if you prefer, memorial donations may be made to Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará (SSVM), 1326 Quincy St NE,Washington, DC 20017.
