Alvin Henry Frizzell

March 28, 1950 - November 27, 2025

Reverend Alvin Henry Frizzell, age 75, of Mount Airy, Maryland went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2025. Alvin was born on March 28, 1950 in Sylva, North Carolina to John Curtiss and Virginia Frizzell and moved with his family to Rockville, Maryland in 1953. After graduating from Richard Montgomery High School in 1968, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He separated from active duty as a Staff Sergeant in 1972. Alvin retired from the Frederick County Government after 30 years. He greatly enjoyed serving his church in any way he could, from leading the Usher’s Ministry to teaching and preaching.

Alvin loved Elvis, Roy Rogers, Eva Cassidy, Willie Nelson, all kinds of music and movies. He loved Marvel and DC Comics. Most of all he loved his Lord, his family, and his friends. He was a proud veteran, a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

Alvin is survived by his loving and devoted wife Bertha, and his children Curtiss Frizzell (Amanda) and Danielle Enders (Nathan), his grandson Andrew Frizzell, his sister Bette Ward (Lee), his brother-in-law Maurice Butt (Darlene), Russell Butt Sr. (Jackie), his sister-in-law Marlene Butt, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandson Chase Frizzell and his brother in law Calvin Butt.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00am-12:30pm at Tri County Baptist Church, 7821 Damascus Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20882 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 with a memorial service and reception to follow.

Graveside services will be held at Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228 on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
