Ana Josefina Turcios

Ana J. Turcios, 84,peacefully passed away on June 27, 2022 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Gaithersburg, MD. Ana was born in El Salvador on May 26, 1938 to Rogelia Ernestina and Jose Manuel Turcios. She is survived by two siblings: Manuel Alberto Turcios and Maria Elba Turcios living in El Salvador. She is also survived by her two children: Evelyn Maritza Martinez and Adelso Calderon; and five grandchildren: Jessica, Javier, Andrea, Cristina and Carolina along with other nieces and nephews in El Salvador.

Ana was a hard working woman who, despite her fears, did everything in her power to give a better future to her children. Leaving her parents, siblings, and children in El Salvador in 1975, she came to the USA to find a way to bring her children and give them the opportunities she never had. In 1982 she accomplished her dream of bringing her children to the United States.

Ana will be remembered as a woman who was always ready to care for her loved ones. She will also be remembered as the one who at the sound of music would cheer up and light up the room with her joy.

Friends may call at St. Martins Catholic Church on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 12 noon to 1 pm. with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1 pm.

Interment All Souls cemetery, Germantown. MD.
