

Archibald “Archie” James Patrick, age 85, passed away suddenly and entered eternal rest on Tuesday February 22, 2022, at a hospital in Rockville, MD. He had been living at Asbury with Parkinson’s and dementia for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Patrick in 2018.
He was born September 1936 in Yakima, Washington to Archibald Landalls Patrick and Maude Ethel Glazebrook. He was their only son.
After graduating from University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Oceanography, he started his career with the National Coast and Geodetic Survey which became part of NOAA, where he retired as a Captain. He married the love of his life; Judith L. Patrick, November 1965 and they raised two beautiful daughters.
Archie was dedicated to taking care of his family, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved his wife Judy beyond measure. He enjoyed reading books and the newspaper, learning, crossword puzzles, watching war movies, listening to music-his favorite being Sea Shanties, traveling with his wife, spending time in Duck, North Carolina with his family every summer and eating anything chocolate!
Archie is survived by; his daughter Carol Patrick and partner Dave Herrmann, daughter Kimberly Monnig and husband Eric Monnig, and he leaves behind his three beautiful grandchildren, Jacob Clements, Lauren Monnig and Nathan Monnig who he was so very proud of.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday March 18th at the Guild Chapel on the Asbury Methodist Village campus.
