Barbara Dolores Hopkins

On May 20, 2017 in Germantown, MD. Beloved wife for 60 years of Curtis L. Hopkins, Jr.; loving  mother of Phyllis Tzamaras and son in law Andrew Tzamaras;  grandmother of Athena Tzamaras.  Barbara was born May 7, 1934 to Dorothy Bean and Thomas Schwartzbeck in Rockville, MD. She was proceeded by 1 brother Richard Schwartzbeck, 1 sister Patricia Lane and survived by 1 sister Ruth Jones. Barbara worked for Fairchild Electronics in Germantown, MD. as a technician.  She moved to Marion, VA for 8 years before moving back to Germantown, MD. She loved to get a manicure/pedicure, play bingo, eat seafood and go to church.  Relatives and friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Thursday May 25 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 26  at Mother Seton Catholic Church, 19951 Father Hurley Blvd, Germantown, MD 20874 with a viewing 10:30am-11am and Service at 11am.
